My journey with yoga started when…

I was looking for something to calm me down and help with my anxiety. I've always been an anxious person, and I feel like it's hard for me to turn off the continuous thoughts and dialogue that goes on in my mind. During college is when I truly fell in love with yoga. I was already interested in modern spirituality, mindfulness, and holistic healing, so yoga seemed like something natural to get into. I went to a class and noticed that afterward I felt relaxed and my mind was clearer, so I was hooked. I began practicing as often as I could, and tried to keep up with a regular practice.

Everything seemed to flow and work better when my practice was steady. Not only was I more energetic and passionate, but I also felt better mentally and physically. After realizing that I felt my happiest and most alive while doing yoga, I decided to take the plunge in June 2018 to become a certified yoga teacher at Dharma Yoga in Austin, Texas.

I believe that yoga is for everyone. It's not about the flexibility, the balance, or even the strength. It is about allowing the asanas, the postures, to serve as a focal point for your mind to calm down and eliminate the brain chatter. It serves great benefits to the body like building strength, increasing flexibility, and attaining balance, but when yoga is practiced with mindfulness, it helps to calm the nervous system and provides an overall sense of well-being. Taking at least an hour out of the day to disconnect and just be with your body and your Self is something that I have found so beneficial, and I know it will benefit others as well.

The way that I practice is focused on connecting the mind, body, and spirit. I want to make sure that at the end of my class your body feels exercised, your mind feels relaxed, and your soul feels elevated.  I love incorporating chanting, breath work, hands on assists, reiki, philosophy and mantras into my classes to help others deepen their practice. Yoga is one of the most beneficial ways to connect with our inner awareness and be in the moment. It makes me feel better, and I hope to help guide others on their yoga journey to feel holistically better too.

PRIVATE LESSONS

We'll work together one-on-one to deepen your yoga practice. I will provide tailored instruction based on your personal goals and offer hands-on assists to promote proper alignment, deeper postures, and relaxation. A private lesson is suitable for all levels. Starting at $50/hour.

Small Group Classes

If you and a few friends or family members are interested in doing yoga together, a small group class can be a great way to go. Whether you're looking for an introduction to yoga or an opportunity to deepen your existing practice, I will tailor the class specifically to the needs of the group. Small groups consist of about 3-6 people so each person can receive personal instruction and hands-on benefits. Yoga Parties and Events

Yoga will help take your birthday party, bachelorette party, corporate event, sorority sisterhood, or anything else to the next level! Yoga can be a fun way to bond and loosen up with the people around you. I can incorporate partner work that will be great for team building and strengthening bonds. There's no better way to relax and decompress than with a yoga class. We'll work together to come up with the perfect class for your unique event.
